AB Normal  rotation  occurs  early  in  gestation,  and  failure  or  incomplete  rotation  can  occur.Many  rotation  abnormalities  predispose  to  gut  volvulus.The  Ladd  procedure,  including  appendectomy  is  the  standard  operative  approach  that  can  be  performed  open  or  via  laparoscopy.
