AB It  is  our  hope  that  this  text  serves  as  a  useful  contemporary  resource  for  all  practitioners  engaged  in  the  challenging  but  rewarding  efforts  required  to  provide  optimal  care  to  those  patients  with  vascular  injuries.  This  effort  was  designed  as  a  collaborative  effort  between  trauma  surgeons,  vascular  surgeons,  and  other  specialists  who  work  together  to  provide  optimal  outcomes  for  this  unique  population.  Each  chapter  has  been,  by  design,  a  collaborative  effort  representing  the  collegial  collaboration  of  trauma  and  vascular  partners  to  address  each  selected  topic  from  all  available  perspectives.  We  firmly  believe  that  the  future  of  vascular  injury  care  is  dependent  upon  inclusion  and  multidisciplinary  collaboration  that  is  collegial  and  synergistic.
