AB FIGURE  110-1Computed  tomography  scans  of  pancreas  (green  arrows)  transplants  with  venous  drainage  into  the  superior  mesenteric  and  portal  vein.  Note  that  the  pancreas  is  implanted  onto  the  superior  mesenteric  vein  close  to  its  junction  with  the  portal  vein.  The  transverse  colon  and  its  mesentery  lie  ventral  to  the  pancreas  allograft,  and  the  root  of  the  small  bowel  mesentery  lies  dorsal  to  it.
