AB •  Can  occur  spontaneously  in  varicose  veins,  pregnant  or  postpartum  women,  thromboangiitis  obliterans,  Behçet  disease•  Most  common  after  IV  therapy,  area  of  local  trauma•  Superficial  migratory  phlebitis  (Trousseau):  Suggests  abdominal  carcinoma•  Pulmonary  embolism  (PE)  is  rare  without  deep  venous  thrombosis  (DVT)
